Porcelain - the Mother of all Lamps · Porcelain, also known as the white gold, or as that fragile commodity in the china shop, which is visited by elephants, was first made in China in the 7th century. Depending on the definition, ceramics are also included, which differs from the pure porcelain in the sintering behavior.
